Professor Bailey's physics students took long exposure photographs that capture campus and local scenes. Students turned a room (or any other place they could control) into a camera obscura by letting light pass into the room only through a small hole. To black out all light sources other than the pinhole, students used tinfoil, black plastic bags, towels, sheets, and duct tape. An image of the outside world is projected upside-down onto a wall in the room and photographed.
